NordRoast’s vision was to source the world’s finest beans and transform them into exceptional coffee experiences for the city’s discerning urban professionals and coffee enthusiasts.
Focused on premium quality and precision, NordRoast didn’t just want to serve coffee, it aspired to become a lifestyle choice and a symbol of refined taste.

To bring this vision to life, NordRoast needed a brand identity that would establish it as a standout name in Amsterdam's crowded coffee scene.

The goal? A visually sleek and contemporary design that captured the roastery's expertise, authenticity, and commitment to exceptional taste.

THE CHALLENGE

In a competitive market, NordRoast needed an identity that could visually communicate their premium quality and position them as more than just another coffee provider.

My role was to craft a contemporary and polished visual identity that speaks to NordRoast’s urban, professional audience while creating consistency across all branding elements to build recognition and trust.

In short, the design had to embody NordRoast as a lifestyle choice while still feeling authentic, inviting, and rooted in the craft of specialty coffee.

THE APPROACH

I started with in-depth research to understand the coffee market and NordRoast's positioning. Using curated moodboards, I explored contemporary, sleek, and organic visual directions that reflected the brand’s personality.

The logo design, inspired by the bean roasting process, took a minimalist approach to convey refinement and precision. I paired it with a sophisticated, organic color palette to balance exclusivity with approachability.

The result is a cohesive, polished brand identity that captures NordRoast’s vision: a premium coffee experience and a lifestyle choice for the discerning coffee enthusiast.
